- Water chemistry and balancing, skimming and vacuuming, filter and equipment checks, and reporting anything that needs attention before it becomes a repair. Frequency is set to the pool and the season.
- Do you open and close pools seasonally?

- Yes. Seasonal openings and closings are part of our pool care service, including equipment checks and getting the water right for the season ahead.
- Do you service pools you did not build?

- Yes. We care for pools and water features regardless of who built them, including equipment service and troubleshooting.
- Do you build pools as well as maintain them?

- Yes, though they are separate divisions. Pool care and maintenance is Precision Pool Services. New pool construction is handled by our design-build team, which builds gunite pools and waterscapes.
- How often does a pool need professional service?

- Weekly through the swim season is the standard, and year-round service is worth it in East Tennessee rather than seasonal. Spring pollen is heavy enough to load a filter within days and consumes sanitiser as it decomposes, summer storms move chemistry quickly, and autumn leaf drop is the largest single strain on skimmers all year. Winter visits are lighter, but a closed pool nobody checks between November and April is where most spring repair bills originate.
- Why is my pool cloudy when the chlorine reading looks fine?

- Usually pH rather than chlorine. Chlorine's effectiveness depends heavily on pH — at around 7.5 roughly half of it is in the active killing form, but at 8.0 that falls to about a fifth, so the same reading does a quarter of the work. Check pH and total alkalinity before adding more sanitiser. If balance is correct and the water is still cloudy, the next suspects are filter run time and spent filter media.
- What are the early warning signs of pool equipment failure?

- Filter pressure climbing steadily means the media is spent or needs cleaning. A pump losing prime almost always means an air leak on the suction side — most often a lid o-ring, one of the cheapest parts on the pad. A heater that short-cycles is usually a flow problem rather than a heater problem. Salt cells lose output gradually as they scale. Each of these is inexpensive when caught early and costly when ignored, which is the whole case for scheduled service.
